dead aro?

so i rescued a 16''+ silver aro from the lfs 2 days ago. the morn after release i notice that my 16''+ ck had beat him up pretty bad, scales everywhere. tho beat up he was still behaving normal till about 10:30n lastnight. wokeup this morn to find it dead:(. my question is what to do with the remains, do i try and preseve its skull, just chop it up and feed it to my bichirs, or just toss it in the trash. any comments and suggestion welcome

The responsible thing to do would have been to separate. An aro that was being kept in a small tank, then had to be brought home and acclimated to a new tank, was under a lot of stress already without being beat up by the new tankmates.

I wouldn't recommend feeding him to your bichirs... you didn't quarantine and don't know of he has any diseases. You can throw it out, bury it in your yard, whatever.

i have kept the ck with many other fish(gars, bichirs, cichlids, and catfish) with no aggression issues and have seen many people keep cks with aros so i figured the aro and ck would get along
