Dead aros

This may sound strange, but if anyone is willing to send me their dead aro. Jar, Lei, silver etc. I would pay for shipping. I'm producing Asian arowana sculptures, and I need some specimens for reference. I have a live one, but I actually want to cast the dead fish and make a mold to create reproductions.

Also, if anyone is interested in a reproduction of their own fish, I can do it. Price is roughly $5.50 to $8.50 per inch. Turn around varies.

So, PM me if you've got an aorwanacicle in the freezer, and keep it in mind if you happen to loose another one.

wanted to add. If your aro dies, and you'd like to send it to me, wrap it in a wet towel as soon as you recover it from the tank. Wrap the wet towel and aro in a shopping bag or saranwrap and freeze it. To ship, it would be overnight, and you'll want to in include ice packs. I'll pay for the ice packs too.

When I get my black aro, and it dies in 20 years. I would really like to have this done so I can have it forever.

I think it would be cool, I'd always get to see it and its better then throwing it away or whatever.

I have seen people do it with turtles, dogs, cats, snakes, etc. so why not fish.

But I dont have a dead arowana yet.

I'm located in Pittsburgh, Pa.

My mentor and I mounted a horse for a lady once. That was a trip. We used a zebra form and had to modify it to make it work for the horse. Turned out nice I guess, but I don't know if I'd want a stuffed horse in my living room

Fish are one thing. Dogs and cats are something entirely different. They use freeze dryers for small pets since no forms exist for them.

Taxidermy is a really neat art, sometimes it seems gross but It interests me.

If I have enough cash, Im probably going to take my boa to a taxidermist once it passes.

I think this is a really cool idea though, and would like to see the finished product is anyone ha ever had there monster mounted.


Thats crazy about the horse, Theres a thrift store near me with a stuffed horse that has a saddle and everything on it, its been there for years and still creeps me out.

I'd say anything over 6" is perfect. I think it would be cool to have a 6" replica arowana on my desk! All I need is a subject. Muhaaahahhaaaa J/K...

I have a buried one under my rosebush, about 7 mos old..........don't think it would help, I applaud you idea, wish I could have done something to remember than one, he was the Great Gu Kaan in my signature youtube video
