Dead babie bass?

Looking for some help from the peacock bass ppl,just grabbed 8 little guys,woke up to 2 dead with there mouths wide open? Anyone know why this happens?iv seen pics of this

How long has the tank been set up? How are your water parameters? Any other tankmates or just these guys?

Yes 2,i just moved my 7" bass and 2 jags out,its odd as iv had lots of fish thrive and do well in this tank,the other 6 seem fine....very big bummer
Store sais they will replace but thats not answering the question of why

Tank has been up for a few months,i seeded from my 180gal,and and numbers are normal,i have seen this on a bass site,i will have to do some onvestigation via the internet today

My guess would have to be the bigger fish. We had a 3" bass and added 3 more smaller guys, woke up the next day to two doa's. The bigger bass kicked the crap out of the other two, the third survivor was in the corner while the bigger bass was just pounding on him. So far the little guy is alive but we think he might be blind now, clear eyes buy scoops his bottom jaw at the bottom looking for food and running into plants. We're thinking it had something to do with being beat up.
Unless you moved the other guys out before you put in the little ones...
