I found a dead bird in my poond (thats a pool-pond). It was a small sparrow, probably trying to wash itself, but then could not get out and drowned. What are the negatives that this avian friend could have caused to the water chemistry and should I do a water change, if so of what proportions?

My tank killed a bird, what has yours done today?

haha ure fish didnt eat them

You crack me up lol
I seriously doubt it did any harm to the water quality. If it started rotting and falling apart in chunks I might opt for a water change. But if you pulled him out whole and he wasn't in there long I'd think the water would still be fine.

Thanks guys!

How big is the pond? I had one die in my 150 and I did a 80% water change just to be on the safe side. When things die they lose control of there bowels so you have that in there to think about.

1200 gallon pool

i think you will be fine... you can always do a water test if concerned... but unlikely any problems.. unless it was there a long time.
