I can't seem to search the forum with the search tool. Keeps giving me an error. I went ahead and started a new thread assuming no one had done this before.

I saw this video on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1x3YTMfUvU&feature=endscreen&NR=1

I don't know that the fish was actually dead but mine looked like that when they died. This guy seemed to revive this fish. Iunno if it was cold water, choking, or something else that got the fish in this condition but he got him out of that condition instead of the fish staying there.

Anyone done this before? Revived a fish like this? I know a saltwater bath is pretty useful and maybe in these situations (haven't tried myself). Interested to find out from the MFK community. I'm new to what I just saw.

I am not sure what to make of what is claimed by the video, but I did notice that the behavior of the fish was very strikingly similar to how a fish acts when recovering from a drugged state, such as Finquel

I found one of my Stomatepia pindu on the floor, don't know how long it was there. It twitched, so I held its mouth upen in the direct flow of a powerhead, it went on to live a long life.

I once found a goldfish on my floor when i was 15, it was getting dry and wasnt moving, i put it in the water infront of the power head and held it there, eventually the fish started swimming again. He lived but his scales were quite a mess due to him drying up.

I saw this video once and thought it was cool. Then a few days later i went to a petsmart and the girl at the fish section told me about a guy who returned a "dead" oscar. She took him and did the very same thing and he came back so she stuck him back in the oscar tank.

looks like a heart massage...

worth a try, when it happens...

oh wow.... I had my suspicions about what dark_fairytales suggested but I guess it's possible. Kind of want to give it a shot someday if I get the chance.

Miguel, what is there to know about a heart massage? Just look for floating fish and massage?

Now I feel bad... I got a bala shark one time and it jumped. I wanna say it was past the 5 hr mark but had I known this I would have gave it a shot.
