i have a 75 gal tank with 8 misc. cichlids and out of no where one of them died i got my water tested at a local fish store 2 days before it died and my water was fine! All of my other fish seem fine but my peacock bass seems a little weird not as active anyone have and idea? cause im stumped

what have you been feeding them ?

buy your own test kit and test it-let us know what your parameters are (ammonia, nitrites and nitrates).

perhaps one fish is overpowering the others?

i have been feeding them pelets and sticks the other fish that are with it is a peacock bass,3 oscars,2 firemouths, dempsey, kovict, and a couple more misc. chiclids

Are they all small, 75g seems pretty small for that stock list. My guess would have to be one of the other fish got to it.

they are not big my biggest fish is like 4 1/2 in long

my tank has ich i think that fish that died gave it to all of them in my tank. White little spots are starting to start on my fish did a 30% water change put a little salt in my tank and i used some ich gaurd 2 hopefully i dont have anymore dead fish

thanks for the advice i have been using some new stuff called ich-x and it is really helping my fish. I used a little sea salt in the tank not to much just a teaspoon and it doesnt seem to affect them i also turned my temp from 75 to 81. So far no more dead fish and i hope it stays that way
