Hello friends,
I have had this purple spot gudgeon for about a year, in that time he went from a puny 2 inches to a respectable 6. Very healthy all the time, ate like a champ, lived with oscars and jack dempseys for the latter part of his life. I had thrown a few exodons in the tank and they were there for about 3 weeks. I noticed that the gudgeon was losing scales after the 3 weeks, and knowing that exodons like to eat scales off of fish, I decided they were to blame.2 days later (yesterday), i donated the exodons to a LFS. When i took them out, the gudgeon seemed healthy, despite not eating at the evening feed, and his injuries seemed to be manageable. This morning, dead. Upon inspection of his dead body, the areas missing scales had more than doubled AFTER removing the exodons. Is this a disease?
