Had 3 female guppies and a male guppy in a 10g tank. I kept the tank unheated at 18-20 degrees Celsius.

They had their first fry a few days ago. 6 healthy little guppies that I scooped out and put in a fry tank.

I decided to put a heater in the 10g breeding tank to speed up the breeding process. This raised the temperature to 28 degrees Celsius. 3 days later the 10g tank turned milky cloudy and I have a dead female guppy. The dead female guppy appears to be missing a lot of her scales.

The other 3 guppies, 2 female and 1 male I have scooped out and put into another tank! They look okay?

how fast did you raise the temperature? sometimes a rapid increase in temperature leads to quick proliferation of bacteria. That's why the water is milky. It also stresses the fish.
This stress in combination with a possible lack of oxygen caused by the huge amount of bacteria might be the reason the guppy died.

Missing scales in dead fish is not an unusual thing. Underwater the decaying starts immediately and scales can go loose pretty quickly.
