came home from work and found my 7" johana pike dead on the floor, was going to do water change today, still did it but am highly upset he was my favorite predator and also my eating champ. taz said i needed to do more water changes. I change mine about once every two weeks but i feed twice a day. now i will start changing water at least twice aweek. HELP SECOND PIKE I LOST :( and i will not put another pike in their for awhile. they eat well but my water might just be the problem any suggestions out there will come in handy.

R.I.P. AND I WILL CORRECT MY PROBLEMS. SORRY TAZ !!!!!!!!

Hmmm, I can't say I've had much problems with pikes dieing on me. They are actually very hardy and can handle conditions that most fish would give up in. Either there was somethign in there that was harassin the pike that made it jump or it got spooked. Those are my only thoughts. Seriously I am a wittle bit baffled as to how all these pikes keep dieing. Once they get past 4" they seriously hardy up. Get a tighter lid, maybe do water changes a little bit more, and keep an eye for aggressors.

it didnt jump out the tank it was dead on the tank floor. The cincta died from str8 over eating. The johanna ate when fed but had a very strange behavior the last few days. It would basically dive bomb to a certain spot and stay there. It looked like it was going through a color change but I guess it was a sign of bad health. Dull color and a red face.
My next pike will not be Crenicichla, stayin african with an ATP. I'll leave that to Taz

I'LL BE BACK :swear: :WHOA: :headbang2
