all of us with large fish (and can keep them till death) will eventually have to deal with their deaths. my question is what do you do with them when they die assuming you don't own a supertoilet.
What I have done is bury them about 3' down in the garden, although I usually have to freeze them first because most of the time I cant do it right away.
Some people keep them for a while in their freezer in a bag, until they decide what to do with them. I know some people that have had some fish in their freezer for a few years! For the most part I have always buried mine.
my alligator gar just jumped out of the tank and im thinking of either keeping the head and possibly getting the flesh off to get a good skull or having it mounted. was only 20 inches though
