hi
i had a female motoro that has recently passed on she was about 8 inches and showed no signs of being sick
she was eating really well and swimming around fine then the next morning i found her dead at the bottom of the tank.
All the other fish seemed to be ok and had no problems then a few days later one of my large dats would just sit on the bottom of the tank and then started to lie on its side.
i put it in a holding net as my black ghost knife fish was trying to eat it.
it hung on for a few days but gave up this morning.
in the tank i have 2 marble motoros and about 6 dats so i am now worried that they may go the same way the rays are burrying themselves alot but swiming about at night it seems to be mainly in the light but all the fish are eating fine.
the only things that have changed is i got a large dat but it has been in the tank for about 2 months and the tank i brought was off a women that had an MBU that had died i do not know the reason of death but there was alot of alge on the glass but she just drained it.
i recently scraped it all off so did not know if there would of been anything in there that may of cause something to happen.
im not sure if anybody would of had a problem like this or would know if i can get a treatment that wont harm the rays, myself and a friend think it may be parasites but cannot be sure.
any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
Andy
