Lost 2 plecos this week. Sunday my Royal turned up dead. His olive color faded to white last week. Still had defined black lines, just the other parts on his body were white. No signs of injury, eating well and active, then dead. The other pleco L333 was a little skiny so I put him in the sump w/ a chuck of market shrimp and he almost imediatlly attached to it and ate a good meal. I found him this morning pale and dead. I have not checked parms yet, did a 40-50% WC this morning and going to check this evening. Could this a parasite in the plecos? Should I remove the other two I have in the tank? (L104 and a Dwf. BN) and place them in QT?

I would use a mild profolactic to assure no future problems. I would guess it to be pseudomonis(sp.?) or a like issue. Easily curable. I would guess they were fine until their environment changed to a stressful level.

Just curious how long you had the fish before they keeled. One thing that you have on your side is that L104s are really sturdy.
