Found this by our trash can. No external damage. It is a Swainson’s Thrush; relatively rare to see in neighborhoods. My mom works for the Natural History Museum as an Ornithologist, so they will take it and stuff it to put it on display. The reason it looks like something scratched it in pic #2 is because it is molting.
