My approx. 20" Jardini beat my 13" thin bar to death the other night. Woke up and found him upside down in the bottom of the tank. They had been together for about three years. Guess you never know when these Jardini's will decide to get crazy. Thought it might be a good reminder to other Jardini owners. The dat was a very nice fish with good markings and had a bright yellow base when it was alive. Oh well. Hope the pictures work.

ouch, that is a shame. such a beautiful fish. sorry for your loss :(

sorry to hear that. jardinis can be *** holes.

jardinis are tough fish man I had one that used to battle my pacu that was almost double his length. sorry for your loss man.

Sorry to hear that! Thats the thing with Jardini;s when they get bigger!

Yeah, it took a while to grow him to that size. Got him at about 5". Grew to 10-11" pretty quick. After that it seemed like about an inch a year. Had a good appetite. Still have a 12" Indo Dat in there and a few polypterus/bichirs. Either the Dat or more likely the Jardini will have to go soon. Jardini never seems to mind the bichirs.

Fish fry....jardini style
