One of my gold gourami has seemed to die for no reason at all. I think that the water is fine because my catfish have had no problems or my knifefish. They are the most sensitive ones that I own.
Here is a pic of it, no cuts or bite marks as far as i can tell.

Any recent WC's? Any changes to your water in your area in general? Did you introduce any new fish, foods, decorations, plants, etc? I am so sorry for your loss :( :( :(

Sometimes fish just die....

But I'm sure if you get a mod to move this to the disease and health forum, you'll get more results. I'm sure Lupin can help you out.;)

Last water change was about 2.5 weeks ago maybe 3. No new fish or plants but I did change and clean the inside of my canister, of coarse leaving in biological filtration.

I can't think of a problem then. That'd pretty bad though. Sorry for your loss.

When you say you left "in" you biological filtration, what exactly do you mean? How did you clean the filter.
The best place to start when anything goes wrong is to test for the following:
Ammonia
Nitrite
Nitrate
Get those readings and we should be able to help.
Also provide as much info as you can.... what size tank, tank mates?

My initial guess would be you nuked your Benificial bacteria when cleaning your filter. This would allow for buildup of ammonia which at any level can kill off your fish.
Sorry for your loss, get back with some info so we can hopefully keep the others in good health.
