i bought a pair of green terros not to long ago, and within weeks of owning them they spawned at 2.5 inches and since have been keeping it up about every 3 weeks with a new batch. anyways 2 nights ago they did it again and then last night when i came home from work they were all fertilized and had black dots and what not. today when i woke up all but 5 or so eggs where gone, and i just thought she moved them or they ate them so i went around with my normal things, then went out for family dinner, and came home to my tank to see both parents swimming around both looking normal healthy and what not, all my parameters are perfect and have been stable forever, i took a nap and when i woke up my male GT was belly up at the bottom of the tank:( im assuming hes dead but i dont want to remove him just yet because it was very strange that he went from swimming and eating just normal and then in less than a hour going belly up :( anyone know how this may have happened?

poke him with your net. if he is alive, which sounds unlikely, then he will quickly move.

I had a firemouth die just because she swam too fast and jumped into the hood of the tank . . . one quick *bang* and then she floated down to the bottom, dead

my point is, your GT may have suffered a similar fate, and if you weren't there to witness it, you'd never know . . .
