I just bought a dat in some shop in newport, RI for $16. It's about 3 inches long and would normally cost $50. I can thank the highschool girl that didnt really know what she was doing.

I had the same thing happen to be with my Senegal Bichir. The best part was the sales manager knew it was too good to be true and still had to give it to me $3.50 like it was labled. he about cried foul, when my wife handed me a 20% off coupon at the rigister.

are Dat's at 3 inches supposed to be more then that?? b/c the lfs I go to for alot of my fish sell's them regular for $15.99 at that size ..... and ontop of that tue and wed we get 20% off ..

yeah, they are supposed to be way more than that. In my experience, I've also had alot of trouble tracking down dats up here around boston. I ordered mine from california. So to randomly walk into a store and find one at that price, it was like stealing.
