Ok so i am in the process of picking up a tank i just wanted to check with the common crown here and find out if you thinks its a good deal or not? its a 150 gallon oak trimmed tank, glass lids 6" lights strip, ac110 cascade 1200 all the chemicals and cleaning products...and stand he wants 400 i am hoping he will take 350-375??? thoughts i have never bought a used tank...

Iffy, the cascade filter is rubbish, so your going to spend more on the filter. So, if you can get it for $350, it would be worth it. And it a 6' light strip yes?
 
yeah i know cascade suck i had the 1500 before i bought my old fx5 on my last setup... ok so 350 is decent thanks... also i have looked all over the internet i want like a 4-5' branch piece of drift wood where is the best place for me to resource one?

yea i agree 100% with hayn.

The price on the tank is great but you will need to spend more for filteration Trust me. But other then that you could easily keep a couple in a 150 for a while. Yea man go for it you should be good to go. If i were you i would sell the cascade on craigs list and go out and either buy another ac110 or make a good Bio filter.
 
There is some nice pieces here on the buy and sell section....surprisingly cheap to.
 
yeah the tanks i saw here were great all the sweet deals are in socal for some reason i am in crappy CT lol the only issue with that tank is the silicone on the inside looks beat! so idk about that one i am still looking...

Keep looking Glen you can find better deals than that if your not in a rush. Check in the Rhode Island Craigslist.
 
I agree Id look a bit more. And if your thinkn 150g....why not just add 30g and get a 6x2x2? Good start for a lot of diff. fish.
 
300-350 for a tank that size with stand and canopy is good depending on the stand and canopy though. I know in socal you can find a used 180 for around 150-200 but that's just the tank.
 
My biggest issue is I have to find a tank that comes with the most possible accesories lol I am on a wife budget to get tank up and running and fish.
