i had to spend about 3 months in Belize with Marines who were doing humanitarian missions. I had a botfly in my arm.. it was nice lol. as a medic i knew that if you just put petroleum or something thick on it, it cant breathe.. it comes up for air and you use tweezers and yank it out.

yeah.. its pretty gross lol
