I was just walking past my tank just now, examining my little retics, and THIS is what I saw.

Is this the dreaded death curl? It appears to be... is there anything I can do? Ashley is very upset, and it seems like such a bummer. I hope I'm wrong...

He is still swimming around the tank, and eating. He has been crawling up the sides, rather vigorously. When he was eating it didn't show, but every time he lays in the sand... is it just the sand? I've never seen either one of them do this before.

Please help! Am I just being sensitive, or are we in trouble?

-Matt

(Sorry I posted so many pics; the camcorder sucks at taking pictures, and I didn't have anything else close at hand.)

That ray looks like it is STARVING..........

He's been eating like crazy since I got him in Thursday morning; he came in like that, but I think he might have internal parasites. Prazi Pro is working its magic, but in the meantime I have been feeding him as much as he will eat. I try to leave food in the tank, but the Aro and Tabitha (the other retic) won't let anything stay in the tank for long. In fact, Abner (the aro) absolutely destroyed a whopping 18 ghost shrimp over the course of only a couple of minutes (and I feed him live, whole red wigglers 3 on 1 off). I put them in there to let the rays get some entertainment and exercise catching their lunch, but Abner was having none of that.

You know, you have been very helpful to Ashley and I. I'm going to go let her know... thank you so much!

Just in case, whats your tank size? water change schedule and percentage? water parameters?

v.v

he better be okay... it wasn't until i thought thaddeus might die that i realized what exactly we have gotten ourselves into. it's crazy to feel so in love with them. it's not like losing lucy, bonzai or vladimir... but if something bad ever happens to one of our baby water monsters, i have a good hunch it will be really close.

yeah... he better be okay.

125 gallon with a 10 gallon planted overflow tank that feeds via a Fluval 204 into a 5 gal bucket of filter floss with 2 gallons of bioballs; also have an FX5 running, but took out carbon due to Prazi Pro application.

Water parameters are 0 ammonia, 0 nitrite, and ~10 Nitrate. I change 30 gallons of water every other day (or once a day when I feed extra heavy to fatten the little sucker up). That comes out to about 22%.
