Or should I say friends. I have put up a few threads concerning the recent disease outbreak in one of my tanks. I had many favorite fish in there. Many of them made it, many died. This is a remembrance and tribute to my friends...
Fred the Bala Shark, 8", grown from 2"
Wilma the Bala Shark, 7", grown from 1.5"
Unnamed Bala Shark, 7", grown from 1.5"
Unnamed baby Jurupari, 2"
4 Zebra danios, 1-2"
5 Neon Tetras, 1-1.5"
and the one who will be most missed, Jet the BGK, 13", grown from 2"
This outbreak struck suddenly and violently. Symptoms appeared overnight, taking several victims by morning. All precautions were taken, followed by drastic measures. Some fish were euthanized, others were kept in hopes that they would perhaps make it. My last victim was also my closest, Jet the BGK. He has been with me for a long time, eating from my hand, coming out to greet me, and playing between my fingers for years. He was the strongest, and fought the hardest until the very end. He was taken from me this morning, and received a proper burial this afternoon.
I would like to thank the members of MFK who helped me throughout the ordeal, undoubtably helping to save the lives of my other fish. Thank you for the support, and the silent understanding of what I am going through.
