I lost my paroon this am. SHe was 30" long, 6" across and she weighed 5.5 lbs. This could be a lesson to future paroon owners. I bought her Feb 08, she was a small 14" beauty. She grew 16" in just over a year. She caught ich, I thought she was fine last night. It was not the way I wanted to find out how big she really was. I still have my 18 year old ID at 26", hopefully he will survive this. He is not sick but he is looking for her. He must realize that there is too much room in the pond now.

Sorry to hear it. PM me if you'd like the skeleton mounted, and if not I don't have a paroon skeleton in my own collection. Sorry if it sounds morbid, but I would make a beautiful mount for you. Really sorry for your loss, that's a heart breaker.
Thanks for the offer Necro. I knew you liked to do that. Today was a bad enough day. My son just helped me bury her. I will find a plant with the name bella in it, plant it there. Maybe when my old boy goes. I always said I wanted him mounted as one of those singing fish. THe doors song, Hello I love you, wont you tell me your name, would be perfect. How would one send you a dead fish? Thanks for your thoughts.
