Why would be a myth when many people have seen it. It's just that not many people don't have the camera ready when they see it as their eyes are fix at the tank. You just don't wanna miss it iut once they do it. The only way for you to see a death roll is by keeping a ropefish as they commonly do it compare to bichirs. I have seen my bichirs did it when I starve them for about a week or 2 and drop a large fish. Tilapia works the best.

My Sens will do it after their weekly two-day fast if I drop in some large pieces of tilapia... Sometimes even with nightcrawlers, one will grab one end, another will grab the other end, and both will spin ferociously... It's pretty cool.


That was a nice video BTW. I've never seen a ropefish do it.
