Ok, so I'm debating on something...
I have a 125 gallon tank that I'm deciding on stocking ideas for...
I was thinking an arowana grow-out tank, with catfishes and a few other fish with plans on upgrading to a 240 or something within the next year or so...
Or I was really considering large cichlids of some sort, because I like thier personalities and attitude....
So I was stumbling across my local craigslist and there is a pair of Breeding Jaguar Cichlids available for $50.. I love an angry fish with attitude, and they've always intrigued me, but I know that if I got them I wouldn't really be able to house anything else in that tank.....
So now I need help making up a decision...
Arowana/amazonian tank setup with fake plants and nice aquascaping...
Or, the whole 125gallons devoted to the Jaguar cichlids, let them destroy the tank on a daily basis, but watch the awesomeness of a fish that constantly wants to eat your face?

Go with the Jags!

go with the jags, they provide a lot of personality, and won't outgrow the tank the way aros will

Maybe I'll hold off and get some baby jags and grow them out. But I'm hesitant to go with the advice from cichlaholics anonymous... you're just an enabler. lol.

Go for the Jaguar breeding pair....The stress of purchasing a much larger tank for Arowana will burn in your heart forever.....Plus the Jaguar pair is much more entertaining.......

you can also go with another guapote, like RTM or loiselli, which are more attractive than jags IMO
