I have a CL ad that has a 180g tank w/
Included:
- 180 gallon reef-ready glass tank
- Pine base
- All filtration, including Fluval protein skimmer
- Water heater
- Daytime and Nightime simulating lighting and hood

He wants 500 for it...

And then there is a guy who just has a tank but the bottom glass panel is broke, he wants 50.

What to do...?

500 for a pretty nice 180 is a good deal around here.

I'd be a bit worried about a broken bottom panel... last thing you would want is for a 180 to spring a leak... especially from the bottom of the tank, so maybe spending a little bit more is a safer bet???

Fluval doesn't make a protein skimmer.

The broken 180 could still be good... Depends on the broken piece. If it is cracked in a single line, but still together nice and flush, then it is salvagable. I have done it, in fact on my current 180. Very easy, very cheap to fix.

Have you seen the stuff in person? If not, then I'd go look before agreeing to anything, as the seller may not know what they actually have.
