Declor with Vitamin C

I recall reading that article several yrs ago. Interesting alternative to sulfur based chemicals, but IMO not very practical if one has chloramine in their tap water. First off the reaction time is not nearly as swift as products such as Seachem Safe, or Seachem Prime. Secondly vitamin c will not bind free ammonia. In a glass box containing fish I personally don't think that I would endorse this method of treating tap water, unless the water was being pretreated before going into the tank. Of course if one is already doing that (pretreating before adding to tank) with chlorine (not chloramine) all that's required is an air stone.

Yeah, still an interesting article. Not as interesting as it would have been if you posted it but still interesting none the less.
(and you know I'm just bustin' your chops)
