My pack of Iridescent sharks keep injuring themselves on my lace rock. I need to change my tank decor to avoid this obviously. I'm looking for good suggestions on a decor layout/type of decor to use. Basically it can't be jagged edges or rough if brushed up against.

Tank is currently bare bottom. Looking to spend under $200 for full decor. I'd like to keep it bare bottom. There is a ton of real estate to fill in. It's 6x5x18 tall.

Lots of floor space, and not much height. So I'm thinking my decor shouldn't go very high in most places , perhaps in the back and middle only.

I'd like to work in a cave system somehow. As I have a pack of 30+ clown loaches, and a black ghost knife and elephant nose. I'll be spending the afternoon searching the lounge for pictures for ideas. and setting up my 55g sump on this tank.

Post any pics you think would be inspiration for this tank.

Thanks

Pic of the tank with only water in it for reference.

because of the dimensions of your tank, I would recommend a focal point of decor right in the cener, and work off of that. Find a really interesting piece of driftwood, tie some anubias to it and then use boulders around that, then use gradually smaller rocks around the boulders etc. I think that would look pretty cool.

I do like this idea. I hadn't completely thought of the center being the focal point. So used to other tanks where the back of the tank is a major focal point also. Maybe I need to look into like shark setups for saltwater, they usually have a reef in the middle so the shark can swim around it.

Yeah, Perhaps i'm just really on the hunt for the super big peice of wood that'll fit in my dimensions nicely.
