Thinking of adding this to an RBP tank and would like to know thoughts on if it is safe/how to make it safe if it isn't. It is listed as composed of painted latex over foam (would secure to keep it from floating). Thanks in advance for any help!

that will look cool dont know how safe it would be id sujest soaking it in some water to see if paint comes off before putting it in the tank

"severed hand" arrived today and I began soaking it in a tub. I am planning on doing this and changing water for the next week or so. Then I was thinking I would add it to my QT with a few feeder fish and test the water each day. If it proves to have no ill effect, I will add it into my RBPs and update with pics!

The only problem may be that the P's Will chew on some fake stuff .
I once had some fake coral in my tank and for some reason my P's ate it ,
well they did not actuly swallow , but they chew it up .

With that said , I say GO for it . Different But Cool Idea . :headbang2

well it definitely took a lot of time. after I got it, I had to cut it open to take out the foam and filled it with plaster of paris. I let that sit several days and then sealed it all up with silicon. after that cured, I soaked it and monitored the water quality. I finally feel confident that it is safe and put it in. I need to work a design up for it to fit in and probably make a few modifications, but here is the pic of it...
