do you guys prefer a lot of plants and deco, or little to none. some people have tanks loaded with plants and others i see with just one or two fake plants

All depends on the person. Some time I use plant, some times i don't.

i usually put lots of plants and stuff in my tanks and take things out as my fish get bigger to give them more room

Thats what I was thinking and noticed with most fish keepers.

I like the looks of a good amount of natural decor, but my tanks either have a piece of driftwood or two or nothing at all cuz of how much of a pain it is to clean w/ lots of stuff in the tank. i got sick of moving everything around to clean

no fake castle or treasure chests!

haha, my dad loves the fake priate skull and pirate ship so I put them in my second tank to keep him happy, my main one has plants and driftwood.

just a few lava rocks and a barebottom to keep the bichirs from getting stuck. Community tanks get gravel and plenty of plants /rocks.

I use driftwood and drain tile caves but I mainly keep rare plecos. My mascara barbs are free swimming and could care less for decorations.
