Deep Cut

My Lyonsi has what appears to be a very deep cut right in the middle of it's body. Currently treating with salt baths. He's swimming around and eating very well, so it doesnt seem to be affecting him (yet). It's very red and swollen near the wound. Continue treating with only salt or will something else work better?

Bacterial infection, good luck. Might wana try Maracyn or Artemiss or something similiar. Eventually that red spot might become a hole.

Maracyn works great, fill 5gal bucket add proper amount of maracyn to dechlorinated water and let fish soak 15min everyother day for 6 days.

Better then treating whole display tank, just make sure frequent water changes occur to ensure recovery instead of prolonging poor conditions!

Just wanted to give an update here... 2 wks of salt baths & stress coat+ with each water change and my Lyonsi is back to new. Probably just a flesh wound.
