Me and reptile_mann where in the deepest southern part of Canada. Along with these pictures, try and figure out where we wheir.

First find of the day was this Leopard Frog: Brown Faze

Looking for more reptiles, we stumbeld across this skull:

Their sure where alot of catuses around but I forgot to take pictures of them.

After flipping a board, reptile_mann told me their was nothing. On closer inspection, I saw a Five Lined Skink but this one got away.

Not much ferther away, we find another and are able to catch it for some pictures:

We seen a few more but those little guys are super fast.

Here we have one that sat still long enough for us to take a "no hands" pic:

Under a log, this Green Frog had alot of black marks on him:

And finaly, we made it to the end of our route: Beautifull

On the way back we found this little guy on our trail: Green Faze

And all animals where left in their spot.

I love going herping, but I haven't really had much of a chance this summer. I went herping in southern Ontario a few years ago. I found lots of frogs, snapping turtles, a few garters but no skinks. Looks like you had a fun time!

Deep south....hah!

Over the past few years, it's become increasingly difficult to find anything around here on herp trips. I used to find all kinds of snakes and turtles and lizards, and usually several frogs and toads, right behind the house where I grew up. Why? Because destruction is progress.

Were those Leopard Frogs? I used to see them by the hundreds when I was a kid but they are hard to come by these days around here.

Thought there were lots of snakes in Ontario like rattlers and garters and water snakes etc. And turtles... (guess its a big place though lol). Nice pics though!
