I was interested in anyones previous exp with a air pump that works great even at 3 or 4 feet deep I have a african setup with a 110 tall
aquarium and can not seem to find a pump that gives good air quality work fine for a few days then start slowing down I am wanting to
a better one however I do not want to pay a $100 and it do the same so I wanted to know about anyone that has had good results and
with what pump any help would be greatly app I jus dont like to keep throwing money away.:feedback:

don't laugh at me but have you tried the Petsmart (private label) air pump? It's less than $30 and has 4 outlets. you can crank it all the way up and it does rival much more expensive units. I have tried several name brands and this is the best value to date. Another tidbit, save the box and original receipt. Best warranty on the market too....lifetime warranty on these. If it breaks, just take back the box, receipt, unit and you get a new one. This is the only piece of equipment I would buy from Petsmart that is made by Petsmart..... everything else is sub-par.... that's another story..

Thanx alot seems that no one else can provide any info im pretty new in here and have become facinated with fish and this seems to be the best place for real info.

I have the tetra ap300 deepwater. I used it on a 30 inch deep tank with 3 air stones and it worked great. I actually just have it on a 55 gallon running 2 3" bubble disc and it makes a rediculous amount of bubbles and surface agitation.

On my 225, I'm using a SuperLuft SL-65. It's expensive (mine was $94) and loud, but it is powerful (3.9psi) and reliable, and it has 4 valves, which is good for customizing the air flow. (but again, it's very loud, so if noise is an issue, this isn't the model to go with).

This pump here is one of the best values I've purchased to date. Currently running 6 sponges at a rate that makes me believe I could double if not triple output. A little noisy. But for $50 shipped I have nothing but praise for it.

*not sure if pic will load from phone, if not will post later. Brand is aqua master on eBay

Active Aqua. sorry about wrong name above. but in any case, I'm impressed with this.

I'm not sure what brand my air pumps are since they came with my tank and I'm at work unable to check atm, but I have the same setup as you and they do the job just fine. I'll try to remember to look them up when I get home. They don't appear to be expensive models, but looks could be misleading.
