defective catfish

should catfish with some kind of defectiveness be lowered on the price?
there is a redtail cat here with gill curl and he is only about 4 inches...poor guy...i want him but they want 80$ for it and it was a customer who brought him in(wish i was there so i coulda just pick him up from the customer w/ a good price)
 
80 would be steep here but if you have a pond lined up then sure......he will still get monster sized
 
I just posted a new thread involving the same problem so hopefully we'll get some feedback pretty soon. $80 is steep though but differen't places have differen't prices I see them from$29 to $60 at that size.
 
Gill curl is through bad water quality it happens a lot with RTC as people keep them in tanks to small with little filtration and no water changes. As far as i'm concerned that’s very expensive for a defective fish. If you really want and can accommodate it there is one for free at the moment on here, Just remember he will be a big boy I have rescued a few in the past and given them away. take a look at:
