ok so here is a little back story.

I got this marbled cray almost a year ago under an inch.

she grew fine..and fast and had great molts and when she out grew her 3 gallon tank

she got moved to her current 10 gallon.

50% water changes weekly, water tests (not strips liquid tests) have always came out fine.

we have copper in out water so i now use a product from seachem to remove it.

she had berried up 5 times now each time she has lost all of the eggs with in the first two weeks...i have no clue why and its frustrating.

we have softer water, and 4 sheds ago she had a difficult one..dented the main part of her body and lost most of her antenna but sens those sheds it all has gone back to normal.

I recently picked up a second cray...who is just over an inch.

today i noticed little white worms on the largest cray..on her claws....any ideas what this is and what i can do to get rid of it?.
(today is her first day out after losing the eggs)

tank shot.

Hi Kaosu

I'm a noob here, just join today. This white worm, is it like white spot or like warm?
I have experienced with this paracite in my redclaw (cherax quadricarinatus), known as white spot. My yabby got several white spot in the claw and tail.
Since I detected early, what I did first thing is to separate the infected yabby then put it in healing aquarium (mine 30x20x25) then I put little bit of salt in the water and filter. I also use Metlynblue, put it in a little cloth and wipe it gently to the infected area.
Perhaps it could help
Cheers

Are you putting her in separate tank from others? Cause sometimes the egg is very fragile and easily loose, this way predator can easily eat the eggs.

After proper age to lay eggs, there is one trick that the local breeders use, which is put several egg barrier female in a cage hanging in the top of aquarium so the egg can all loose without any help from human. lol it's kindda difficult for me to describe the whole process, i'll try to find the pictures for you. I knew, I seen it somewhere in the net.

well she is a marbled self cloning cray so up until recently she was the only cray in the tank.

the tiny worms on crays are pretty common. i have been told that they are harmless.

Small white worms on your crayfish are common and apparently dont do anything. If you really want, give it a short salt bath to rid of them.
And get the pH up. Use calcium shells or something.
