So, I thought it would be a fun topic for everyone to write their input on who is an aquarium normie.
For those of you who don't know what's the meaning of 'normie' he's a link from urban dictionary.
https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=normie

My definition is someone who likes the most generic fish like peacocks for their colors, and do not look for personality. Also, someone who thinks Discus look good in a planted tank.

your turn

The guy who doesn't fill his whole bedroom with fishtanks. (Like me!)

Also, the guys who stick to FB groups, keep fish in rather cramped tanks, the 12" fish in a 55 crowd (no offence), bettas in a bowl sorta stuff, goldish in small tanks especially!

Just my thoughts..

The normie doesn't exist here, it's the guy you buy fish off privately who has been doing it for 20 years, does a 10% WC a month and hasn't heard of the nitrogen cycle... He knows everything of course.

Anyone who buys their fish from Wal-mart or PetCo when other options are available

.....never heard of the term.

Anyone who builds a tank, filters it and stocks it just because 'everyone is doing it', without trying to put their mark on it in any way. A 75 gallon mixed mbuna tank with 2x approx. 200gph canisters and a what looks like the dumping ground of someone who spent too much money on fancy limestone and coral sand, with some peacocks, a couple of clown loaches, and that one WTF SA/CA cichlid.
