I've been looking at threads on sexing Green Terrors and noticed something about "venting". Anybody care to enlighten me?

Thanks c:

Somebody will quote & correct me, but as far as I know,
I think it's the shape of the "vent" which I've only ever seen refer to their bumhole.
I've never looked into this because I'm almost positive my GT is a male.

So I'll just tag along this thread lurking for the same answer as you.
I know it has to do with oO <-- Whatever that means.

Can't see any differences in the picture attached. Mind elaborating? Thanks!

yup cant get much easier to understand than that..:headbang2

Sexually mature. So size depends on species and conditions. Also, once females have laid a few batches of eggs their vents are almost impossible to confuse with a male's.

Some use the term 'vent' strictly to define the practice of inserting a tube into the vent to determine the sex of the fish. But it apparently is also used by many to describe the act of merely looking at the vent as opposed to probing into it. I suspect the former to be a more technically accurate definition.
