deformed arowana

just pickd up this fish it was going 2 b destoyed. got it from lfs it came in2 shop like this when only 2" and the shop owner could not sell it. he has not got room for it in shop anymore so i got it free he was going 2 put it 2 sleep, its now 18" roughly will it have happy life with the deformity or should i have let him put it to sleep.
if its got from 2" to 18" with deformity i thought it would be ok was i wrong to take it any feedback would be grateful cheers

He looks like he gets around ok. As long as he is not suffering and you ok with it why not.

Bad drop eye, but I suppose that's the least of it's problems, if it's happy enough and your happy with it then it's a good match, hope it works out well for you both

There was no need for a repost, but anyway it looks okay. I'd keep it. BTW, drop eye is not cureable, but it's no big deal. A ton of big aros get it.

the shop keeper said it had probably rammed side of a tank at wholesalers and he just bought full batch and never noticed that 1 till he got back 2 shop
