hi guys,
one of my ornati's finlet is deformed. will it grow back to normal? any treatment procedures or this is just permanent? i have him around 2months already and nothing have changed. thanks

anyway, here is the picture(sorry for the angle, its the best pic i got):

yeah kinda hard to tell from the pic. i wouldn't worry about it. it probably wouldn't return to normal if the finlet is deformed, but that'd be fine. i wouldn't try to fix it, and honestly i don't think it needs fixing.

I don't think it will, but I'm not sure though. I've got a young senegal that has been deformed for four months. It somehow had a rubberband wrapped tight around its midsection when it got shipped to the LFS; they cut the rubberband but his finlets are still deformed and it still looks like there's an imaginary extra tight belt indenting his sides. Doesn't seem to make him less healthy though. Think of your ornate as unique :)

One of my ornate has a finlet like that also and it never healed or righted itself. I wouldn't worry about it though.
