It's genetics. I haven't seen it in cons yet but I've seen it in plenty of other fish.
Angels, acei and cobalt mbuna and plecos for example.

He's cute.

my other cons just had babie's. i kinda want to breed my "toxic avenger" w/ my female. not sure on the whole playing god thing. but he is cool. so, i might have to set up another convict tank.
