A 55 gal would work also but wider is better so I'd spend the extra money and get a 75 as well.

If it were me, I'd get a 100 to 125g tank and put in other bichirs with the del.

How much bigger is a del than a senegal ? I thought the sizes were about a foot for the senegal and about 14" for a delhezi ? Do they really need much larger tanks than a senegal? I was curious because I am interested in getting one (delhezi). Would a 40 gallon, 18 inches wide be enough to house one?

yeah the sizes of the two species are only two in.

40 gallon breeder right? It should be big enough for a delhezi or any of the smaller species of bichirs. You can probably put a couple in there.

good luck on it, ill get one from toyin or get my lfs to get some. . but no, i dont think its a breeder. the demmensions are 36" by 15" by 16", is that a breeder?
