Hello All,

Just wondering if anyone has used this filter or one similar for it, especially on reef tanks and water changes:

It seems like a decent filter and easy to use for a decent price, at least easier then the other R/O DI units that are commonly bought and used. So any thoughts, stories, or insights on this units or ones similar and how they compare to other DI or even R/O DI units would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Did you see the price? And did you see that it is only good for 25 gallons to 125 gallons (depending how bad your tap water is)? When you do the math, it isn't very efficient cost wise.

The point of RO prior to the DI cartridge is to clean up the water so the DI resin doesn't have to do it all. The DI resin will last about ten times longer if you use an RO system with it.

Check eBay for the double DI cartridge systems. They come with refillable cartridges. The resin bought in bulk is way cheaper than constantly buying more cartridges. I've seen a five stage RO/DI system with double membranes for under $200.
