So my Delhezi has not been eating, since about Thursday, last week. He is acting really sluggish, not swimming very much, etc. (Even more so than usual, he is a pretty lazy del. But he’s even lazier right now.) So, I was wondering, would he maybe start eating again if I removed all of the plants I rigged to the top of the aquarium, so the only hiding spots he has is on the bottom? (He is the only fish in the tank, so less hiding spots should be fine, right?) Or should I let it go a few more days and let nature take its course in either starving him to death, or him finally breaking down and eating?

What do you feed him? Tilapia works wonders and my Del cant pass it up, ever, even when she is a bloated mess lol

I dont think it will starve itself to death..

sinking pellets are also almost irresistable.

Yea, usualy feed some shrimp pellets in the morning and tilapia in the night, but its all just building up and getting moldy looking...

Not sure if hes just doing it for kicks, or if hes lonely and wants some tankmates, or w/e.

(not sure if its the temp or parameters, all those are fine, and the temp is usually between 80f and 85f. Is this maybe too high, should i lower it a little?)

I would lower the temp maybe a little but, should be fine around 80*.
You said that the food is getting moldy looking I would do a water change of at least 50% because, that leftover food just changes all the water's chemistry.
For food try as mentioned above market shrimp, most sinking pellets(although mine have never eatin shrimp pellets ever). bloodworms, ect. Also trying feeding with lights dimmed or off.
Hope its helps.

bad combination, rotting food + high temperature your water quality has probably gone to hell in a hand basket, check and see what your ammonia and nitrates are at and get that rotted food out ASAP

Yea, i try and stay on top of things with removing it, though it does sometimes drift under deco i cant get under without taking the entire tank apart.

I guess ill try the shrimp and light combo, etc. If he still doesnt take it ill just keep trying to feed untill he bites the dust, or feels the need to eat again...
