looking for something kinda oddball for my tank. ive owned a senegal and all it seemed to want to eat was live, which i dont mind but dont want it eating my smaller fish. my question is are delhezi hard to get off live? And how big to delhezi get, i googled and got anywhere from 14-18 inches. my stocklist is in my sig the jag being the smallest at 2.5 inches or so and will be adding two small severum

Dels max out at 14". It's actually quite easy to take any bichir off of live foods. It'll just take a little patience but it can be done with any bichir. Also bichirs and plecos usually don't go well together. Plecos are known to suck the slime coat off of a bichir. And the Jag might be too aggressive.

the jag is the smallest one in the tank and i have no issues loosin the pleco its a poopin machine

I have better luck with Delhezi's as community fish then any other poly. Slower growth rate, smaller mouths, and great looks. I have never had a problem getting them to eat silversides and krill.

My Del never has anything live and eats whatever he finds no problem, even algae wafers.

In fact he's fast becoming my fav fish as he's such a cool dude.

So get one. :D

i have made home made food that everyone accept my snook eat so dont see why a poly wouldnt eat it
