I have them together and my severum is showing signs of ick.

I just bought him from a fish shop, and I was wondering if my bichir would be okay with the ick medication.

I need to know asap as I am going to the store soon..

I'm not a big fan of using the dye-type meds like NoxIch with bichirs. Personally, I use Cupramine, which is really fish safe.

Okay because I read somewhere that they were very sensitive to medications and stuff, and I would really hate to kill Betty

rather than a medication you should just bump the temperature and use the aquarium salt method, add an airstone and you don't have to worry about your del dying

I got this stuff called Fish Keeper the man who cares for the fish at my fish shop recommended it and said it wouldn't hurt my Bichir.

I bumped the temp, and started the Fish Keeper stuff.

What is the salt thing? I cant ever find anything that gives me a good idea of how to do it.
And I have two air stones in my tank as is, and the bichir breathes air I think.. She has no outside gills anymore but still acts like she uses them and comes up for air.

Poor Severum seems like the ich is kicking his ass..

All the other fish seem fine, only one platy has a spot on it..

The Severum has a whole bunch :/

Its a 55gal, I have two airstones going full blast.. how much salt? and can I use table salt, I know it says I can in the link, but everyone keeps telling me NO dont because table salt will kill them, I figure you guys would know better than other people..

I think I am going to have to, this med isnt working fast enough and the Severum isnt looking to hot, he wont eat..
