my only mom and pop lfs just got these in very small (talking like 2") with a pricetag of 19.99 I have a 165g tank and have been toying with the idea of a bichir for a while now and these have pretty cool patterns i'm just wondering if this seems like a normal price?

it's a pretty decent price. At that size, it will be a tasty morsel for larger fish.

Didn't take any of the fish unfortunately they were pretty "ornate" though like they had alot of patterns on them. That's partly what i'mworried about I have a few very large severums but other than that nothing to eat them

get rid of the severums and get the bichirs!

Lol no I love my severums maybe what I'll do is buy a less expensive normal bichir to test the reaction just in case. They have plain bichir for $12 at 4" or so
