Hi MKFers,

This is my first time posting here, recommended from a good friend of mine about great forums for bichirs lovers, sorry if my first introduction is bringing up problems, but i trust community like these has a great vault of solutions, so here goes.

This just happened afternoon after i got back from office, so his right side lips is a bit ripped, and small part of it is hanging, i was thinking cut cut the hanging part with scissors (do it gently), OR, just let it be hanging and wait until it loose itself.

need opinions badly from you friends, thanks in advance, much respect from me :)

I would post up some photos of the effected area in question... since just describing the problem with words is going to make it hard for people to give you an answer best suited to your current situation...

i took pictures but couldn't get the best moment my bichir showed its wound.

i'll try my best to get the best angle to avoid confusion with current situation. gonna get back with good pics soon enough, thanks.

i would just let it heal on its own, just keep the water very clean and a lil salt or maybe even melafix to help things along

before you try and treat it i would find how it happened and try and see if there something hazardous in the tank that needs to go or something needs to be changed. Cause polys don't tear easily.

Let it heal on its own. Clean water, water changes, maybe add an antibiotic to the water. As long as he continues to eat, he should be fine. Id work on a pic for the poly pro's on here.
