I just got one about a month ago its about 6" and I'm just wondering how big they get and how fast they grow.

theyll max out at about 12 inches. but growth wise, it all depends on your water and what you feed him. if you want him to grow fast allways keep him full and do alot of water changes (about every five days, 30-40 percent of your water). try to feed him hikari carnivore pellets and feeders. thats what u have my senegal bichir on. anyother questions and ill be glad to help, Matt
Cool thanks..he eats good ussually blood worm and tilapia and sinking pellets, whenhe was in my 55g he ate my 3" arrowana and 5 tiger barbs...he's in my 240 now, he won't eat anyone in there

NOT THE AROWANA! that sucks. yeah i forgot about blood worms to, my friend feeds his those. beefheart is pretty good to. i seeya got baby redtails, i just picked one up today! hes awsome!
hes okay for now i think...the rtcxtsn are about 6-6.5", but yeah soon he'll have to be moved or traded in cause all i have is a 55 growout which i might put him back in, i have my 125g but i just stocked it with angels for my wife.
