Has anyone had experience keeping Opaline/3 spot gourami with delhezi or other upper jaw bichirs? Is it a good idea?

I’ve had no experience with either but 3 spot gourami max at 5 inches while the bichers max at 16, and while small the bichers may eat the gourmani

As long the Gourami is large enough not to fit in the Delhezi mouth it should be fine.

I had my old original delhezi with gouriamis and believe one was an opaline. Was fine and go with what tlindsey said!

Only problem I had with keeping dels and opalines together (and senegals too, for that matter, though to a much lesser extent) is that they would, on occasion, try to tear off the long antennae-like pelvic fins at night (and take chunks out of their caudal- but that seemed to happen to most tankmates either way).
