i have 4 new bichirs in a 3ft tank. they are small about 3-5inches. 2 of them are delhezis, 1 lap and an albino senegal. Problem is the lap and the albino are more active and have accepted hikari floating pellets. my delhezis are lazy and would only move rarely or when i disturb them. so far they like to remain at the bottom and sedentary and i have not seen them eating anything which freaks me out. :S and oh yeah at my town the lfs only have floating hikari pellets. no sinking pellets so thats a bummer. i want my bichirs to eat pellets as their staple for the time being. any help? thanks :)

Try "Poytara: carnívoros de fundo"... Unlike senegalus, the delhezi are not much to go to the surface to eat ... Additionally, you can drench (with vitamin supplements or even water) the feed you use before offering it, maybe she sinks.

New polypterus usually got on so called "hunger strikes" when they change environments

wow never seen a bichir eat floating pellets! I generally are lazy and they love sinking pellets.
