Can a 55 gallon tank with about 14 demasoni be mixed with 4 male peacocks? Or are the demasoni to rough?

Dems are more intolerant to their own kind than any other fish (they will also terrorize any fish with similar coloration/barring). They are best kept in a group of 12+ to spread out aggression amongst themselves, so 14 is fine for them.

Mixing Mbuna and Peacocks is also not the best thing, their diets & temperment greatly differ. It doesn't mean it's impossible, but it would be better to not mix them for the Peacocks sake.

My advice is to go with a Demasoni/Yellow Lab tank which is a proven successfull tank with nice coloration. I would do the 14 Dems and maybe 4-6 Labs, you can even substitute a few Acei for some Labs. Just remember that Labs & Acei will get much larger than the Dems and will outgrow the tank so may need to be thinned over time.

good luck

I do currently have 2 Acei and 6 Yellow Labs in there also, however, I was wanting to get rid of the Acei and replace them with 2 male sunshine peacocks for example.

I wouldn't add the Peacocks, but it's up to you. If you do, I would make sure to research and feed them all accordingly. It's possible you'll have probs, it's possible you'll be fine, just one of those things. But, it's not a natural combo of fish, but just my opinion.

best of luck

Not a great combo,I put a few peacocks in with my demasoni and they looked like crap so I moved them.Things are too rough for peacocks in an average mbuna tank. Some combos can work but demasoni in a small tank? Im thinking its likely you wont be happy.More good yellow color on a full grown male lab than any sunshine peacock too.
